Wheatley Golf Club came into existence in May 1914. Originally it was located in the grounds of Wheatley Hall which, at the time, was owned by Sir William Cook (Bart). In March 1934, following the sale of the hall and the industrial development of the area surrounding it, the club moved to its present location on Armthorpe Road, Doncaster.
I have been a member of Wheatley Golf Club for over 29 years and it gives me great pleasure to take up the role of Club Captain 2019. I am looking forward to playing golf and socialising with all the sections of the golf club, their guests and visitors.
I would like to thank all members for their ongoing support to the club over the years and would ask that this continues in 2019.
The commitment and hard work of all the professionals and staff has made a major contribution to the success of the club and I am looking forward to working closely with all involved.
It is an honour and a pleasure to be part of a well-established and prestigious golf club
I’m excited to be involved with the progress and success
of our Club😊
